The Queen Anne's
Revenge on Daniel Island is a true treasure find for diners. This
restaurant is more than a restaurant /pup, it also is part museum. It is
the only establishment of its kind dedicated to the authentic history of
piracy along the Carolina coast. With it's pirate theme you will be
entertained while you enjoy some great food and service! One thing is
for sure, the notorious pirate Blackbeard will NOT be serving you.
Instead you will find a friendly wait staff.

| In June my husband Gene, his aunt and 90 year young grandmother from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
& I visited the Queen Anne's Revenge Restaurant on Daniel Island where
we had top notch service by Tara. Tara had been at the Queen
Anne's Revenge for 2 of the 3 years the restaurant has been opened so
she was friendly & very knowledgeable about the menu. When we first sat down, we over
heard the desert menu from the table just behind us. After hearing what
was on the menu for dessert, we decided we needed to save room so no
appetizers this visit. For dinner, Gene ordered a wonderful chicken dish, Anne
Bonny Carbonara which is Grilled
chicken, mushrooms, bacon, spinach, tossed with linguini
in a sun dried tomato pesto sauce with . Grandma and Aunt Sherry both chose the small cut
of the slow roasted Prime Rib with a loaded bake potato, which is one of
my favorites! I was craving seafood this night, scallops to be
exact. I was torn between a couple of the entrees but Tara
suggested the Long Boat seafood dish with Shrimp
and scallops sautéed with sun-dried tomatoes, basil,
capers, in a white wine garlic sauce, over angel hair
pasta. |

We were hungry after
hearing all the yummy desserts and seeing some of the food go by so we
were glad when our bread arrived shortly after we ordered instead of
coming with our salads. They add extra goodies on top of
their diner salads like blue cheese and pecans. In
it's own right, it's as good as a California Dreaming salad! Our entrees
did take a little longer to get to the table than we thought they
should, but some things are worth the wait.
Everyone dug in before I thought to snap a photo, it all
looked scrumptious. I did remember to take a photo after I took a few
bites, so my dish is really missing a few bites in the above photo. As
you can see in the photo above, they have good portion sizes. We all
felt the proportion sizes for the price and atmosphere were very good.
Yes, We did save room for dessert. Gene & I both got the Mint Chocolate
Cheese Cake and Grandma and Aunt Sherry shared a piece of Key Lime Pie which was out of this world. It left me puckering up for a good kiss for my
husband for choosing a great place for dinner.
